The power of partnerships highlighted at 2014 Automotive Finance Summit

Held earlier this month in Berlin, the European Networking Group’s (ENG) 6th Automotive Finance Senior Executive Summit focused on the added value of strong partnerships. Sword Apak were proud Silver Sponsors for the event. This year saw a mixture of industry veterans and vendors delivering presentations over two days on a variety of ‘hot’ topics and business case studies.

During the summit we heard from Nordea Finance on the power of partnerships and how to join forces for a professional advantage. This presentation looked at how choosing the right vendors and partners can strengthen competitive edge and provide the best service for clients. Nordea Finance illustrated their presentation by naming Sword Apak as one of their key suppliers. We also heard from BMW Group Financial Services who provided a case study on the iconic change towards e-mobility and the new business models that this delivers, and also from Rusfinance Bank who delivered a snapshot of the Russian market growth and upcoming challenges.

Sword Apak’s Sales Director, James Powell, hosted an interactive interview session with David Betteley, Director Financial Services, Jaguar Land Rover, and Chris Sutton, Managing Director Motor Finance, Black Horse Finance (Lloyds Banking Group), where they discussed building business through partnerships. The session specifically explored the UK finance partnership that was formed in May 2013 between the three organisations, and that went live in February this year. It provided valuable insight into the challenges faced with such an important and complex arrangement that needed to be completed within a short timeframe. The session also outlined the key success factors in making the partnership work, and concluded with a brief overview of what the future holds to continue to support sales ambitions.

Sword Apak’s Marketing Manager Natalie Sweet commented that, “We had a really successful exhibition and conference. The event provided great networking opportunities for all the attendees combined with high quality industry speakers and excellent interactive and panel sessions. This event is a highlight in our calendar and we are already planning for next year’s event in Amsterdam.”

After such a fantastic event Sword Apak is already looking forward to being a Silver Sponsor at ENG’s 7th Automotive Finance Senior Executive Summit which will be held in Amsterdam, 9-10 June 2015.
