I graduated in 1985 with a BA (Hons) Business Finance.
From 1986 to 2008 I worked for Chartered Trust, a subsidiary of Standard Chartered Bank, which was later acquired by Lloyds Bank Group. I started as a Graduate Trainee in Corporate Planning then progressed to Credit Analyst before being promoted to Senior Business Credit Manager and finally Risk and Development Manager.
Whilst at Lloyds Bank I gained a thorough understanding of Sword Apak’s Wholesale Finance System (WFS) from a client perspective. I worked closely with Tony Allen (CEO Sword Apak) and his team to ensure that the system was capable of satisfying our business needs.
In 2008 I joined Sword Apak as a Business Consultant to help develop the new WFS V6 system, working closely with new and existing clients. I was promoted to Product Director in 2010 and in 2012 also assumed responsibility for the Production Support Team. We focus on existing customer relationships, working with them to ensure that we are continuously improving the system to match their business needs.
I am particularly proud of helping Sword Apak to grow, and implementing the system globally with our growing client base. I enjoy being part of a great team – they are knowledgeable and experienced – and I value the fact that, like all staff, my views and ideas count. We have great leadership too, it is highly professional but informal – and that’s part of its appeal!
