“I am privileged to be part of a professional team that has rolled out WFS to multiple countries across three continents”
As COO, I aim to ensure the optimum delivery of Sword Apak’s WFS solution to our clients. I have over 25 years’ experience in the wholesale industry, managing project delivery from pre-sales through to production. Fulfilling my role takes a delicate balance of understanding, encouraging co-operation and persuasion.
I first joined Apak in 1987, working in wholesale finance at Highland Leasing, part of Barclays. I developed and supported their in-house agricultural finance system, quickly learning that robust IT systems can give business a real competitive edge.
When Highland Leasing restructured, Apak took on facility management for the system. Having acquired the source code and system rights, we created an inventory finance system used by the Bank of Nova Scotia, as well as WFS version 1 used by Rover in the UK. Some years later I led the creation of WFS version 3 for Chartered Trust, now Black Horse Finance (Lloyds).
In 1999 I broadened my experience outside Apak as one of four joint founding members of V-Ten, a wholly owned subsidiary of Daimler Chrysler. We delivered cutting-edge e-commerce web solutions for Daimler Chrysler UK.
Following the sale of V-Ten I rejoined Sword Apak and today I am privileged to be part of a professional team that has rolled out WFS to multiple countries across three continents. Sword Apak is now the world leader in the delivery of wholesale finance systems. If I was asked “what makes you different?” I would say: “If something needs doing we care enough to get it done.”
