Tom Parfitt, Development Department Manager

Tom Parfitt, Development Department Manager

Having studied Computer Science at the University of Reading, I gained my first software role working as an operations developer at one of the country’s top music services companies in London; designing, developing and maintaining royalty collection and digital distribution software. In 2013, I moved to Bristol and joined Sword Apak as an Analyst Programmer working on our global wholesale finance system.

Since being employed by Sword Apak, I have been able to further develop both my technical and managerial skills; learning from highly experienced members of the teams and being encouraged to take on challenges that have helped me to grow. My biggest achievement has been the progression I have made, to Development Department Manager, since joining the company only 3 years ago.

Sword Apak is a great place to work and develop; the environment is friendly and supportive, providing guidance and help to overcome challenges and further your skills whilst utilizing the latest software and technology. This emphasis on support has allowed me to enjoy focusing on providing simplified solutions to continuously evolving and complex problems.
